Greeshma Gadikota named 2022 ACS Energy and Fuels Rising Star

Energy and Fuels has selected Greeshma Gadikota, assistant professor in the school of civil and environmental engineering, as one of their rising stars. As stated on their website, Energy and Fuels has established an annual recognition of Energy and Fuels Rising Stars since 2021 to honor early- and mid-career researchers, (EMCRs), who have made significant contributions to their respective fields of energy research. Samaranayake named to Popular Science’s Brilliant 10

Each year, Popular Science embarks on a nationwide search to find its ‘Brilliant 10,’ a roster of 10 early-career scientists and engineers developing ingenious approaches to solving the world’s grand challenges. This year’s Brilliant 10 includes Samitha Samaranayake, an assistant professor in Cornell’s School of Civil and Environmental Engineering who works on mathematical modeling and algorithm design for large-scale transportation systems. Reed elected AGU Fellow

Patrick Reed, Joseph C. Ford Professor of Engineering, was elected as an American Geophysical Union’s (AGU) Fellow. He joined 53 other individuals in the 2022 Class of Fellows. Gadikota receives NSF Early Career Award

Dr. Greeshma Gadikota, Assistant Professor and Croll Sesquicentennial Fellow, in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cornell, has been awarded the prestigious NSF Early CAREER award for her project titled, "Confinement Induced Structural Evolution of Calcium- and Magnesium- Carbonates in Architected Siliceous Nanochannels."
